7 things to do at Eden this Christmas
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… to visit the Eden Project! Here are seven things to do and see for a truly magical Christmas visit with us.
1. Wonder at the dazzling lights
Enjoy an enchanting atmosphere as you step inside a beautifully-lit tropical paradise in the Rainforest Biome, including our gorgeous illuminated waterfall. The Med Biome will be filled with luminous displays and our glitter ball will make you feel like you're in a snow globe!
2. Seek out cacao pods in the Rainforest
Ever wondered where the chocolate inside your advent calendar comes from? The cacao pod is full of cacao (or ‘cocoa’) beans. When crushed the beans yield cocoa mass, the basis of chocolate! You can find cacao pods of many shapes, sizes and colours growing inside our Rainforest Biome.
3. Take a spin on the ice rink
Is it even Christmas if you haven’t been ice skating yet? Our glittering rink is now open, complete with disco ball, lights and music, ready to glide you into the festive season with ease (or with a penguin skating aid).
4. Warm up with delicious festive treats
It’s not just the season for giving… it’s the season for enjoying mouth-watering treats too. From mince pies to mulled wine, we have a wide range of delicious food and drink to warm you up from the inside out.
5. Soak up the rich colours of Western Australia
Transport yourself to a warmer climate by exploring the unique and colourful flora of Western Australia. Take in the beautiful sights around you as you learn about plants that thrive on the Earth’s oldest and most infertile soils.
6. Enjoy seasonal favourites played by our Big Band
In the Citrus Grove, we have an 18-piece Christmas Big Band playing all your seasonal favourites, as well as some original scores, creating the perfect atmosphere to celebrate with family and friends. Our Big Band will be playing from 5pm on 3-5, 10-12, 16-23 and 27-30 December.
