National Lottery players who purchase a Lotto ticket from this October will be able to redeem a £25 voucher against entry tickets to hundreds of tourist attractions and experiences across the UK including Eden. The voucher code can be redeemed through the VisitBritain Shop at NationalLotteryDaysOut.com

Executive Director of the Eden Project Peter Stewart said: “We’re delighted to support the new National Lottery Days Out campaign with VisitBritain and to be welcoming visitors who come to see us in this way.

“Without the support of the National Lottery Fund, the Eden Project would never have been built. The funding secured allowed the Eden Trust to transform a China Clay pit into a living theatre of plants.

“Since we opened in 2001, we’ve welcomed more than 22 million visitors to date.  We employ more than 400 people and have generated an economic impact for the South West of more than £2.2 billion. National Lottery funding has helped us achieve this.

“In addition, The National Lottery has also been instrumental in creating the Big Lunch, our largest outreach programme that sees more than six million people from across the UK sitting down to have lunch with their neighbours on the first Sunday in June each year.”

The Eden Project is an educational charity and social enterprise. Its global mission is to create a movement that builds relationships between people and the natural world to demonstrate the power of working together for the benefit of all living things.

Visitors to Eden can enjoy massive Biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories, all of which serve as a backdrop to striking contemporary gardens, summer concerts and exciting year-round family events.
