Couple inside Rainforest Biome at the Eden Project

Planning your visit

A day at Eden is a real adventure. The indoor Biomes and the gardens outside cover roughly 30 acres and take about four hours to explore. The site is brimming with facilities to make your visit easy and enjoyable.

The paths of Eden climb up and down the slopes of the former clay mine, but there are plenty of places to sit and rest on the way, and toilet facilities, which are flushed by recycled rainwater. And – a little tip – our indoor Biomes are covered in a material that transmits UV, so don’t forget the sun cream!

How to get here

Planning your visit

Make your visit more eco-friendly

  • Bring a reusable cup and we'll give you 30p off hot drinks. For takeaway drinks, we do not offer single-use cups, but you can borrow one of our reusable cups for a refundable deposit of £2.50 – just keep hold of your receipt and return your cup to any of our tills before the end of your visit.
  • Bring a water bottle – we have lots of taps around our site.
  • Help us recycle by sorting your waste at our clearly labelled recycling stations. Our food waste is composted to feed our plants!
  • Try a meat-free day with the delicious vegetarian and vegan options in our cafés.
  • Visit us by bus, train, car-share, bike or on foot.
  • Charge your electric car at the charging points in our car parks.
  • Use your wallet as your weapon by checking out the ethical goods on sale in our Shop.
