Mum and baby singing in the Med Biome.

Melodies to grow to

It’s good to talk. It’s even better to sing. Join Eden Project’s new singing group for parents and carers of babies. Together, sing songs from around the world and bathe your baby in sound.

At Eden Project, you can travel around the world in a matter of steps. We’ll sing songs inspired by people, plants and places, using music to connect with these global stories, our babies and each other. These sessions are for babies aged 6 weeks to 9 months, with their accompanying adult.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to site closures, Music in the Med will run on selected Friday mornings, until after February half term. It will then return to Thursday mornings.

Tickets for the new year will be available soon, please check here again in January.

Melodies to grow to at the Eden Project

Music has many developmental benefits for babies, and also has positive impacts on adult health and wellbeing too.  It helps us to us to breathe more slowly and deeply, lowers the stress hormone cortisol and lifts our mood.  The synchronisation when we sing together develops social bonds.  Research suggests that singing can positively impact on maternal mental health in the post-natal period.

This is a 45-minute singing group for adults with their babies.  Songs are selected and arranged by Matt Douglas and suitable for anyone, including complete beginners.

Pre-booking is essential.  Sessions cost £3.50 and adults also require a valid form of Eden Project admission.
