BAM Partnership

Together with BAM, part of the Royal BAM Group, one of the largest construction companies in Europe, we’re sparking a movement that transforms construction into a catalyst for ecological regeneration. Our pioneering partnership centres on our shared mission to inspire bold action, shift mindsets, and lead the charge toward a nature-positive future across the entire industry.

Restoring nature recovery in the built environment

This significant collaboration is about leading by example and inviting BAM’s people, clients, supply chain and industry peers to join us on this journey. By embedding nature-based, future-facing solutions into every stage of development, BAM aim to turn construction into a force for ecological good.

About the partnership

Dan James, The Eden Project

Dan James, The Eden Project

“ We have the chance to reimagine construction as a force for ecological renewal, showing that every project can create space not just for people, but for all life to flourish. ”

Forging a new path

BAM have three key initiatives that are shaping their approach to driving change:

Driving change

  1. Educate:

Create meaningful programmes that spark curiosity, share knowledge, and empower action for nature among our people, clients, and partners.

  2. Act:

Work with our client and partners to deliver projects that prove innovation, and biodiversity can thrive side by side to protect nature and improve human wellbeing.

  3. Influence:

Lead by example, challenge barriers to nature-based solutions and openly share our journey, successes, and lessons to inspire industry-wide change.

Why is the Eden Project partnering with BAM?

As a charity, our mission is to inspire and demonstrate positive action for the planet.

We transformed a barren quarry into a thriving paradise – proof that it is possible to work with people and nature to heal the damage caused by human activity. We know restoration is possible, because we’ve done it.

Since the early 1970s, the UK and Ireland have seen a 19% reduction in biodiversity and the construction industry has played a role in that devastation. By combining our expertise with BAM's and pioneering new approaches, we are reimagining what building can be: not something that depletes nature, but something that restores it.
