Weddings at the Eden Project

If you’re looking for a unique venue to hold your wedding ceremony, reception, or both, you can’t get much more iconic and memorable than the Eden Project.

Instead of jetting off to the tropics or the Med, you can marry in the same distinctive atmosphere without even leaving Cornwall. Our Rainforest Biome is the largest indoor jungle in the world and its lush foliage provides a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony. Our Mediterranean Biome recreates the sights and smells of this lovely region, with its bright blooms and fragrant aromas of herbs and citrus trees, guaranteeing an outdoor-style wedding regardless of the British weather.

Special touches

Give your wedding that extra special touch, allow your guests to arrive in style on our bunting decked land train or for grooms who are a little more daring how about making a big entrance by flying down our SkyWire or abseiling into the ceremony. Why not tie the knot in the Malaysian House in our Rainforest Biome, before embracing the array of back drops we have to offer for your wedding photos including our waterfall and up on our aerial rainforest walkway. 

For something truly special, after dark, receptions can be held in the Mediterranean Biome. Low lights on the paths reflect on the arching ceiling to create the illusion of thousands of stars, a truly fabulous atmosphere for your wedding celebrations.

Each of your wedding guests will receive a personalised voucher from the two of you to return to Eden the following day, for no extra charge, where they can explore all that Eden has to offer as well as continuing the wedding celebrations.

Locally sourced food and drink

If you’re booking your wedding venue in Cornwall, why not make sure your food is sourced locally too? We strive to put as much back into the Cornish economy as possible and to keep our food miles down. We provide the finest seasonal produce, and pride ourselves that 80% of it is sourced locally.

Working closely with our Head Chef, we will create a menu that suits your taste and budget, from a delicious wedding breakfast to a traditional three-course sit-down meal or a banquet with a strong focus on locally produced, seasonal food.

Make your wedding count

Make a statement to your guests by holding a green wedding at the Eden Project. You’ll not only be staging your event at a world-famous icon of sustainability and eco-awareness, you’ll also be able to take advantage of our sustainable sourcing policy.

  • Rainforest Biome: Exclusive hire from 5pm to 12.30am
  • Mediterranean Biome: Exclusive hire from 5pm to 12.30am
  • Gallery: Exclusive hire all day and evening until 12.30am
  • Eden Kitchen: Exclusive hire from 6pm until 1am.
  • Stage: you could stage your wedding on our ice rink between October and March!

You can hire one of the Biomes for your ceremony and drinks reception and then move to the Gallery for your wedding reception.

  • Gallery: Exclusive hire all day and evening until 12.30am
  • Eden Kitchen: Exclusive hire from 6pm until 12.30am.
