Free resource: Curious Eyes

Pick up a pair of Curious Eyes from the team. A bit like a brightly coloured pair of cardboard 'glasses', these have been designed as an early years learning tool to encourage your under-five to look closely at all there is to see here at Eden. It helps them to stop and actively focus on what interests them, giving you the opportunity to follow their gaze and talk to them about what has interested them. Why not share your photos of your grandchild on social using media using the #curiouseyes hashtag?

Who it’s for

We’ve designed these sessions with grandparents and under-fives in mind, as we know that many visit Eden regularly – often as part of regular childcare arrangements.

Follow us on Facebook for updates about our grandparents and under-fives activities.

How to book

Follow the booking links above next to each session. The bookable sessions are free with admission (so you'll just need a ticket, Annual Pass, Locals' Pass or Eden Project Membership to come in), and don't forget that under-fives get free entry to Eden. You will need to book your grandchild(ren)'s free place on the session to help us anticipate numbers. We ask for a maximum of two children per adult. Please note that the named adult on the booking form must be the individual who attends the session.

How to find us

Many of our sessions begin in the Core Café. Your quickest route, especially when you are visiting with a small child, is to turn right as you exit the Visitor Centre and follow the ‘Accessible Route’. Cross over the bridge and come down in the lift. Outside the Core, turn right and walk around the side of the Core and left, across the small bridge and through the door into the rear of café. We meet there, opposite buggy parking and near the under-fives soft play area.

Volunteering opportunities

If you’re interested in volunteering at Little Eden for Grandparents, we’re particularly looking for those who are aged over 50 and have enthusiasm for learning. Find out more about this opportunity.
