Our mission: community

Eden is a testament to the power of ordinary people working together. The range and scale of the environmental challenges the world faces today is intimidating, but it is our belief that strong communities have an important part to play in overcoming them.

Did you know?

On average, more than 6 million people take part in The Big Lunch each year, started by the Eden Project.

At Eden, community means using our destinations to support local people from 0 to 90 (and beyond) to get out in nature, and working nationally and internationally to bring people together through campaigns like The Big Lunch.

We also use our experience and venues to support other campaigns and charitable causes like Sleep Out.

Conceived by Eden, The Big Lunch generates new connections and helps people transform the places they live.

Providing community care

We support people, from the elderly to those with health issues from mental illness to diabetes, through social prescribing here at Eden.

Facilitating change

Eden Project Communities' training programmes and networks are enabling people to make change happen in their neighbourhoods.
