School Workshop: Sustainable Attainable

Students will be introduced to a key sustainability-thinking tool which they’ll use to investigate Eden’s green business credentials, before thinking about the global efforts being made towards a sustainable future and the role they can play.

Workshop overview

Using the Eden Project as an example of a business with sustainability at the heart of its working practices we look at the meaning and execution of sustainability using the ‘triple bottom line’.

The students will explore what it means in the real world, by looking for examples of our approach on our site and considering how effective it is. We will consider the big picture and discuss why sustainability is so important.

We finish by looking at the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the role we can all play as individuals, and members of communities and organisations, in contributing to a better, brighter future.

“ One of the most educationally rich venues to have taken groups to visit. I would hope all pupils at our school could visit on a rite of passage. ”
